Ryland Holmes started GAGE, LLC in 2011. Previously he was employed by Virginia Public Works Equipment Company, a sewer equipment dealer, as an outside parts salesman. In that position, he traveled throughout the state and the District of Columbia selling parts and accessories to municipalities and agencies for their sewer cleaning CCTV camera trucks. It was while in this position, which he held for three years, that he began to develop an in-depth knowledge of the industry, to see a need for quality products in the sewer infrastructure rehabilitation industry, and to build some of the customer relationships that he would carry with him when he started his own business.

Ryland also worked 12 years for the IBM PC Company. In his last position before the company was sold to Lenovo, he served as Senior Relationship Manager in charge of service parts contract management for the PC Companies’ manufacturing and service parts suppliers. He was a member of a task force that developed a previously fragmented global service parts delivery strategy.

He has had experience in several entrepreneurial ventures as owner of Holmes Industries, a food broker and distributor in the fast food industry; COO and owner of Right on Target, Inc. a commercial printer of tray liners for the fast food industry; and owner of Project Facilitators International, Inc., a broker of international trade projects.
